A natural masterpiece
The Mulino Waterfalls or cascatelle, as they are affectionately known by the locals, are fed by the Gorello torrent, which carries the spring waters of Saturnia after they emerge from a long journey underground.
During this journey, the water is enriched with minerals and sulphur, re-emerging at a constant temperature of approximately 37 °C, at the same time shaping the characteristic travertine terraces.
The result is a mythical landscape where nature has created overlapping pools that tempt bathers whatever the season.

The thermal waters of the cascatelle are rich in sulphur, calcium carbonate and magnesium, elements that favour circulation, purify the skin and relax the muscles.

Access and recommendations
The waterfall area is free of charge and always accessible, open all year round, even at night.
To best enjoy the experience, we recommend visiting early morning or at sunset, when the light is soft and there are fewer people.
Take a towel, reef shoes and a bag for your belongings: the bottom of the travertine pools can be slippery or rough.
You can reach the Mulino Waterfalls from Residence Bagno Santo in just a few minutes by car, and you can also get there by foot or bike from Villa Bagno Santo.
